Halaqa

Youth Halaqa
Every Thursday from there is a youth halaqa for boys and girls 13 and up. The youth halaqa focuses on issues the youth are facing today and no adults are allowed. It is conducted mainly by Hafidh Hamzah, who also invites other speakers to motivate and inspire the youth. Part of the halaqa, there are different activities that are done as well from time to time to encourage the youth of today; leaders of tomorrow. For more information on the youth halaqa, contact Mir Mustafa Khan who is in charge of the program at mufasaalikhan@gmail.com

5 for 5
Every Wednesday we try to encourage our youth and students by allowing them to speak after Maghrib (Summer) or Isha (winter) for five minutes. They prepare a reminder for the community from lessons they learn on a particular topic and share it. We encourage everyone to come by and support our students and join us.

Monthly youth dinner
Every month we have a youth dinner for the youth. We believe it is important to create a bond within the community outside of the masjid. Hafidh Hamzah takes the youth to a restaurant of their choice where everyone can eat and enjoy. The event is ended with a small reminder. If you are interested in sending your child(ren) follow us on Facebook to get updates or contact Humza Shiekh at humzashiekh1@yahoo.com to get more details.

Community Fast
Every first Thursday of the month we have a community fast. The Prophet (saw) used to encourage fasting on Monday’s and Thursday’s. To help bring this forgotten Sunnah back in our time, we ask everyone to come join us. We pray Maghrib and then open fast together.

Other programs
We have plenty of other programs that happen at masjid hamza, from family nights, dawah seminars, new muslim classes, sisters only programs, and many more. For more information follow us on Facebook/twitter or get added to our mailing list.
